RESOURCES TO SUPPORT
THE EDIBLE FOOD RECOVERY PROGRAM
IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD

Pursuant to California Law (14 CCR §18991.3), and Lynwood Municipal Code, Chapter 9-7 (Mandatory Organic Waste Reduction), Commercial Edible Food Generators must arrange to recover the maximum amount of edible food that would otherwise be disposed. A Commercial Edible Food Generator shall comply with these requirements by donating all such recovered edible food through a contract or written agreement with one of the following types of entities (as defined under14 CCR § 18991.5):

  1. Food recovery organizations or services that will collect their edible food for food recovery.
  2. Food recovery organizations that will accept the edible food that the commercial edible food generator self-hauls to the food recovery organization for food recovery.

The entities listed below are those currently servicing the City of Lynwood. Each entity has represented its compliance with the regulations cited above, and would be pleased to work with local Commercial Edible Food Generators for the greater purpose of meeting the overwhelming need of feeding the underprivileged living among us.
